The animal shelter of Karditsa was established in 2006 by a group of animal lovers, all volunteers and with their own money, getting no financial help from the State. We started out with many volunteers who were passionate with this purpose, but now 4 of us are left. Today in Karditsa shelter are living 160 dogs and their adoption is our main concern. Also we are trying hard to care for the strays outside the shelter.

On a daily basis we feed more than 100 strays in the streets of Karditsa and we provide help to animals that need veterinary care. We do as many sterlization we can afford. Εvery day we are facing many cases of injured animals. Unfortunately we can’t afford for all the needs we have for food, medicines, antiparasitic and for the exorbitant amounts for veterinary care. The difficulties are many, but we will continue to fight for the strays.
